Welcome to our web site! Beautiful Savior is a small and
conservative Lutheran Church of the Wisconsin Evangelical
Lutheran Synod. The name "Evangelical" goes back to the old
meaning of the name - which is "gospel preaching." It is our
purpose through the preaching and teaching of God's Law and
Gospel to magnify the grace of God found through the death and
resurrection of Christ.
Our worship services are at 10:30. If you come and
visit you will see that we take our worship of the LORD both
seriously and joyfully. The liturgies that we use focus on the
Word and Sacrament - producing an interactive response of God
talking to His people and His people then responding. We are
connected with the Ancient Church as we continue to use the
readings and confessions and songs of the Church both old and
new.
We believe what really distinguishes us from many churches in the
Topeka area is the way we use the Law and the Gospel. Instead
of just talking about what WE do to become "better" people
through a seven step program, we like to focus on what God has
done to change us from sinful people into "holy" people through
the blood and righteousness of Christ. Without this foundation
of faith continually repeated, we cannot even begin to "live"
for Christ. It is with this foundation that we then try to help
each other to grow in faith through God's Word and promises for
them.
